Our Brief History
In the Beginning
Marianum Press Ltd. started in February 1957 after the official handing over of the White Fathers’ Printing Press to the Congregation of the Missionary Sisters of St. Peter Claver. The Official opening of the new Marianum Press Ltd. premises took place on April 26th, 1957. The main aim of its founding was to provide affordable printing services to the entire country. Presently, Marianum Press Ltd. has the capacity to provide Superior Quality yet affordable designing and printing services to Institutions and Individuals of all categories.
Ownership
On April 1st, 1973, Congregation of the Missionary Sisters of St. Peter Claver handed over the ownership and management of the Press to the Archdiocese of Kampala with Fr. Joseph Balikuddembe as its first General Manager. Marianum Press Ltd. is owned by the Archdiocese of Kampala.
